Now live in production, Campaigns bring project management directly into the Tourismo platform with:

🧠 Magic Regions: Bulk-Add Listings to Curated Areas

Now you can populate regions in bulk using smart tag and keyword search from within the Region editor. Select a region, search listings, and instantly add all relevant businesses or events. Magic Regions make it easy to build compelling, content-rich areas with just a few clicks.

Starting tomorrow, building beautiful, dynamic content in your newsletters, blog posts, and platform pushes is easier—and way more powerful.

What’s New:

  • 🧱 Interactive Content Blocks: Add Listings, Itineraries, Events, or Challenges directly into your content

  • 🏷 Smart Filtering: Use tag, featured status, or custom filters to curate exactly what shows up

🧭 Themed & Filtered Regions: Tell Local Stories with Tags

You can now create Virtual or Themed Regions using tag-based filters. Organize listings and events into curated collections—like “Vintage Stores”, “Indigenous Artists”, or “Local Makers”—within geographic boundaries.

🎯 New in this release:

  • Create virtual regions based on a theme, and filter what shows by tags AND boundaries

  • Group listings by tag sub-categories (e.g. "Consignment" vs "Antique")

  • Turn filtering on/off per region in your app or WordPress integration

Perfect for destinations looking to tell deeper, more personal stories of place.

📱 Major App Feature Upgrades

We've launched a suite of new features for the Tourismo app to help drive real-time discovery, boost engagement, and simplify configuration:

🧭 Real-Time Discovery & Navigation

  • "Open Now" Badges highlight currently open businesses

  • Happy Hour / Lunch Specials display time-based promotions on listing cards

  • "Show Distance from Me" gives visitors context for what's nearby

🎨 Admin-Configurable App Styles

Admins and Super Admins can now customize app appearance and behavior directly in the Admin panel—without needing to resubmit to app stores. Update layouts, toggles, and style options on the fly.

🏆 Challenges in Progress Carousel

Keep visitors engaged by showing a progress bar for all active challenges directly on their homepage.

🏷 Tag Grouping & Collapsing Accordions

Long lists of tags? No problem. Tags can now be grouped by category and collapsed into intuitive accordions in the app search view.

📌 Note: Backend improvements now support earned badge modals and repeatable challenge task types, adding polish and clarity to your gamified experiences.

📊 Improved Reporting & Behavior Insights

Get smarter with your data. We’ve made several upgrades to reporting and behavioral tracking:

  • Check-ins by time of day now available in Listing reports

  • More consistent metrics between homepage summary and report pages

  • Deep linking from listings to user profiles for check-in and redemption visibility

  • Timezone support is now included in listing and platform APIs—ensuring accurate hours across regions

🧩 Editable DMO Areas

Need precise control over DMO reporting zones? You can now define which municipal districts a DMO covers under Admin → Organizations → Edit → Areas. This ensures that listing and event traffic reports accurately reflect real-world partnerships and jurisdictions.

🧙 User Profiles & Magic Tags

Under Engagement → Users, profiles now show:

  • 🌍 Geographic activity

  • 📋 Task and challenge interactions

  • 🧠 Magic Tags like:

    • Frequent Contester, Stale User, Reward Earner, etc.

Build segments and cohorts based on real behavior.

🧹 Smarter Challenge Task Handling

Challenge logic now behaves more intuitively:

  • Form submissions only complete the specific task the user interacted with

  • Repeatable task types are now supported

  • “Earned Badge” modals give instant visual feedback

These improvements give you cleaner metrics and a more predictable user experience.

🛠 Bulk Edit System: Faster Admin Workflows

We’ve launched a unified Bulk Edit tool for Listings, Challenges, Events, Regions, and more. Instantly:

  • Add/remove tags

  • Set “Featured” status

  • Control visibility on app or web

  • Assign ownership

  • Change record status

This new system dramatically improves efficiency and reduces manual work across all your admin tools.

🧭 Custom Website Navigation (Standard Web)

You now have full control over the top-level nav for your public site, including:

  • Dropdowns or flat menus

  • Links to custom content types or filtered collections

  • Tailored user journeys for your destination

🛑 Cleaner WordPress API: Hidden Tags Now Stay Hidden

If you're using the WordPress API, we've improved how tags are delivered:

  • Only tags marked as show: true will be included in responses

  • Hidden tags (used for internal ops or filtering) are excluded automatically
    ✅ This keeps your public content clean and free from backend clutter.
